High Value Man
Stable๐High School๐ถManosphere originDefinition
Originally a manosphere term for the idealized masculine man (rich, fit, dominant), popularized by podcast culture. Now widely used as a joke and meme format, often sarcastically. 'I microwaved my own dinner, high value man behavior' and similar self-deprecating jokes are extremely common. People of all genders use it to mock the manosphere's obsession with ranking human worth.
Dad Mode: You Should Probably Talk to Them
Good chance your kid is making fun of this concept, not endorsing it. 'High value man' became such a meme that most teens (and adults) use it sarcastically. 'I parallel parked on the first try, high value man behavior' is a joke about how ridiculous the whole framework is. If your kid is using it to mock podcast bros, they're in on the joke and you can laugh along. If they're using it sincerely and ranking themselves or others by 'value' based on money and dominance, that's the podcast pipeline talking and worth a conversation.

Your kid will cringe
The phrase itself sounds like a luxury car listing. 'High value man, low mileage, leather interior.' Most people using it now are in on that joke. If your kid ISN'T joking and genuinely ranks humans like used cars, that's a different conversation.
